Last night, after work, I went to Station 168 Makati to release some stress. Played DotA with boytakas, daddyjoe and new friend (online) ChiefRapRap. Before midnight, I said goodbye to takas and joe. 

I decided to smoke in front of 168 before choosing a cab for the ride home. Saw a bunch of streetkids, all dirty and pitiful, with one slightly taller kid carrying a baby. 

First thing I thought of: kakaawa. But I had to stop myself...they could be part of a metro-wide evil operation that uses streetkids as front for drug dealing and illegal solicitations to further its evil-doings. Yet another part of me thought that maybe..just maybe, they're not part of it. They're too young to be part of such evil. 

I almost called one of the kids. I wanted to give him P50 man lang. But before I could even croak, a cab with a male passenger stopped in front of 168. One of the kids saw him and told the other kids, "Si Bosing, andiyan na!" 

Two of them called 2 more kids who were sleeping on the steps of China Bank (beside 168 entrance). "Hoy, mga epal! Uwi na tayo!" I counted 7 kids and 1 baby riding that cab. Each of the kids greeted the passenger, "Bosing." 

Pota..nakakaawa nga. Alam kaya nila na hawak sila ng sindikato? Nainis talaga 'ko. If they do know...I can't say I blame them. Nakakaloka lang..mga bata pa lang, humahawak na sa patalim. 

I recall an incident a long time ago. I picked up my mom from Aristocrat one Sunday afternoon. While waiting for the light to turn green, my mom and I watched a young woman with a naked baby. Somehow, we knew she was heading for our car. What she didn't know was that we noticed her pinching the baby until he cried, before finally approaching us. Ang gaga!  When she stood by my mom's side of the car, she was met by a barrage of high-pitched, ear-splitting, maddening curses to high heavens that only my mom could speak and understand. The shocked woman ran away. It was her only weapon. 

But my mom was crying after that. She couldn't express enough her frustration and anger on how that woman could do such a thing to her baby. My mom said that whatever the woman had gone through to be in such a state, the baby did not deserve to be used that way. No baby should be used that way.

But before that...

Poipoi, Kenken...remember when I told you about that big flower arrangement sent to me?  For the life of me, I couldn't think of anyone who would send me such a nice bunch of roses and mums (my 2 favorites).  Then, this morning I got a call from that elusive G.  The flowers were from him...a big sort of "Thank You" for being such a good friend to him.  Aaaawwwww....and he wanted to tell me...sila na ni H!  Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Yun lang! Oh, happy day!

Haaaay...it was a lovely wedding...truly...

February 15.  My gal pals + Leo Burnett Creatives flew to Boracay to attend a very important wedding.  For me and my gal pals, one of our closest friends was getting married.  For the LB Creatives, their "father" was getting married.  Twas 5 years in the making.  All of us going to Boracay saw them through their first steps in their journey.  



                       



In that small church, 4 of Marite's friends sang for them: Blu, MJ, Lorie and Pinka.  It was difficult....because we kept crying! Hahahahahahaha!   

Afterwards, all 80 or so guests and family members trooped to Friday's for cocktails and dinner.  I wish I could describe accurately what I saw while walking on the white, fine-as-confectionnaire-sugar sand...it was like being in a Mardi Gras, as far as colors are concerned anyways--most of the guests wore festive colors and, from afar, we could have looked like small, colorful dots--moving dots...walking M&M's...hehehehehe.

Boracay's famous sunset was the backdrop for the photos with the bride and groom and all other photos, for that matter.  It was sooooooooo romantic! I really felt that!  But I don't think I showed it in these pics...hehehe..


                    


One of the best parts of the event was that I got to see an old friend, Blu.  (No, not his real name...it's just my term of endearment  =Þ)  Happiness!
